Boom Assembly

The boom assembly consists of a couple of aluminum rails that guide the fin out of the machine.  Fastened to the bottom is a retractable shelf that is triggered to open once the fin is cut to drop the fin onto a fin catcher.  These can be used on different machines where a strip of material (fin or plate) is being fed out of the machine and cut to length.  Once cut, the part drops onto a shelf, fin catcher, or into a box for collection.  The controls are simple, getting a signal from the cutoff, then opening the retractable shelf, timer for open duration, and closing again ready for the next part.
